Germany is becoming an increasingly attractive study destination for Nepali students.
It offers respected universities, strong research opportunities, English and German taught programmes and a wide choice of degrees in engineering, IT, business, science and other fields.
But applying to Germany can be more complicated than simply finding a university.
Students need to understand academic eligibility, public and private universities, language requirements, financial evidence, health insurance and student visa requirements.
A consultancy with genuine Germany knowledge can therefore be useful.
Ratings Nepal reviewed established and Germany focused education consultancies operating in Nepal.

10. Other Verified Germany Specialists

Public vs Private Universities in Germany
This is one of the first things students should understand.
Germany has both public and private higher education institutions.
Many public universities charge little or no general tuition for many programmes, although exceptions exist.
Students can still have expenses such as:
Semester contributions
Accommodation
Food
Health insurance
Transportation
Visa related costs
Living expenses
Private universities generally charge tuition fees.
Never choose Germany simply because an advertisement says Free Education in Germany.
Check the exact institution and programme.
English or German?
Germany offers both English taught and German taught programmes.
An English taught programme may require an accepted English language qualification.
A German taught programme normally requires appropriate German language proficiency.
Some programmes can have additional language requirements.
Always check the exact university requirement.
What About the Blocked Account?
Financial proof is an important part of Germany's student visa process.
Students often hear about a blocked account or Sperrkonto.
However, do not rely on social media posts or old information for the exact amount or procedure.
Your financial proof should follow the current requirement applicable to your individual application.
How to Choose a Germany Consultancy
Check Germany Experience
Ask how many German institutions and programmes the counsellor actually understands.
Ask About Public Universities
A consultancy should be able to explain the difference between public and private universities.
Check Language Requirements
Ask whether your programme is taught in English or German.
Understand the Complete Cost
Do not look only at tuition.
Calculate living costs, insurance, accommodation and other expenses.
Check Visa Knowledge
Your counsellor should follow current German visa requirements.
Never submit fake academic, financial or employment documents.
Questions to Ask Your Germany Consultancy
