What Should You Check Before Choosing a New Zealand Consultancy?
Do not choose a consultancy only because it advertises a high visa success rate.
Check these important areas.
1. Course Suitability
Ask why the recommended course fits your previous education and future plans.
2. Institution
Understand exactly where you are applying and check the institution yourself.
3. Total Cost
Ask about tuition fees, living expenses, insurance, visa costs and other expenses.
4. Financial Documentation
Your financial documents should be genuine, clear and consistent.
Never use fake income or financial documents.
5. Current Visa Knowledge
New Zealand immigration rules can change.
Your counsellor should work with current Immigration New Zealand requirements rather than old information.
New Zealand Student Visa Basics
For most international students planning to study in New Zealand for more than three months, a student visa is required.
The Fee Paying Student Visa is a common option for international students studying full time with an approved education provider.
New Zealand also has other student visa categories depending on the student's circumstances.
Always check the latest Immigration New Zealand requirements before applying.
Questions to Ask Your New Zealand Consultancy
Before proceeding, ask:
Which New Zealand institutions do you represent?
Why does this course suit my profile?
What is the total tuition fee?
What scholarship is available?
What English score do I need?
What financial evidence is required?
What visa category applies to me?
What documents will you prepare?
Are there any consultancy charges?
Can I review my complete application before submission?
Good counselling should make the process clearer, not more confusing.
