Yuba Sahavagita Secondary School

Yuba Sahavagita Secondary School (also spelled Yuba or Yuwa Sahabhagita) is a government community school in Chhakdol, Sitapaila, in ward 5 of Nagarjun Municipality, Kathmandu district. It teaches from early-childhood development (ECD) classes to Grade 10, preparing students for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE). Edusanjal reports 371 students in the 2081/82 BS academic year.

The school was founded in 2042 BS (1985/86). In 2072 BS (2015) the Ministry of Education chose it, then called Yuwa Sahavagita Higher Secondary School, as the national winner of its best community school award. According to Edusanjal's report on the awards, national winners received Rs 200,000.

The school needed rebuilding after the April 2015 Gorkha earthquake. The China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) chose Yuba Sahabhagita from a Ministry of Education list of about 8,000 schools needing reconstruction, and funded the rebuild with Suning Group Company Limited. The Kathmandu Post reported that the new building was handed over in September 2017, and described it as the first school permanently rebuilt with Chinese support after the earthquake. The handover was attended by the chief executive of the National Reconstruction Authority and officials from the Chinese Embassy.

At the time of the handover, about 700 students were using the new facility, according to the Kathmandu Post.

Edusanjal records an Education Review Office (ERO) score of 74.33 for the school. The school says its aim is affordable, good-quality public education, and it takes co-educational day scholars only.
