Prime Commercial Bank Limited (PCBL)

Prime Commercial Bank Limited (PCBL) is a Class 'A' commercial bank licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank. It was founded on 24 September 2007 as the twenty-first commercial bank in Nepal and provides retail, SME, corporate, trade finance and digital banking services from its head office at Kamalpokhari in Kathmandu.

The bank was promoted by a group of Nepali business families and began operations in the closing years of Nepal's commercial banking licence expansion. It grew steadily through branch expansion in its first decade.

On 29 February 2020 (29 Falgun 2076 BS) Prime Commercial Bank completed its merger with Kailash Bikas Bank Limited, a national-level development bank, which added a significant number of branches and customers and lifted the bank into the larger tier of Nepali commercial banks. Its paid-up capital now stands at about Rs 20.95 billion, and its shares trade on the Nepal Stock Exchange.

Prime Commercial Bank operates around 192 branches together with extension counters and ATMs across all seven provinces. Its head office is at Kamalpokhari in Kathmandu, and the Kailash Bikas Bank merger extended its reach into district centres and smaller municipalities beyond the main cities.

International transfers, trade settlement and inward remittance run through SWIFT code PCBLNPKA, supported by correspondent banking relationships with foreign banks for payments in major currencies.
