Kanti Secondary School (कान्ति माध्यमिक विद्यालय), long known as Kanti Higher Secondary School, is a government-run community school in ward 4 of Butwal, Rupandehi district, Lumbini Province. It teaches from nursery to Grade 12 under Nepal's National Examinations Board (NEB), in both English and Nepali. Edusanjal reports 5,529 students in 2082 BS.
History
The school was founded in 2010 BS (1953) and has grown into a full nursery-to-Grade-12 institution. It was long registered as Kanti Higher Secondary School, and Edusanjal and other portals now list it as Kanti Secondary School.
According to Wikipedia, Kanti has about 220 staff and funds part of its running costs and scholarships by renting out commercial space on its property. In 2072 BS it won the Best Community School award among schools in western Nepal. Edusanjal describes the school as ISO-certified.
The school also runs an open-school section, Kanti Secondary School Open Learning, which offers distance and open learning. In the 2082 BS Grade 12 examinations, 926 Kanti students sat the exams and, according to Edusanjal, 74.19% of the 687 graded students received letter grades.
