Education Asia is an overseas education consultancy operating in Kathmandu since 2006. It works with students applying to universities and colleges in nine countries, and runs a test preparation centre alongside its counselling service from its office at Sallyan House in Bagbazar, opposite Padma Kanya Campus.
Destinations
The consultancy counsels for the USA, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Dubai, the Netherlands and Finland. The European destinations are worth noting: Germany, the Netherlands and Finland have lower tuition costs than the Anglophone markets and different entry requirements, and comparatively few Kathmandu consultancies handle all three.
Services
- Career counselling and profile assessment by certified advisors
- University and course selection across nine destination countries
- Application preparation and admission processing
- Scholarship search and application support
- Financial documentation and education loan assistance
- Student visa filing and interview preparation
- Accommodation support in the destination country
- Pre-departure orientation
Test preparation
Classes are offered for IELTS, PTE, TOEFL and the Duolingo English Test, and for the academic admission tests SAT, GRE and GMAT. The Duolingo option matters for students applying to institutions that accept it, since it is cheaper and faster to sit than IELTS or TOEFL.
