Bal Kalyan Vidya Mandir, widely known as BKVM, is a private, co-educational school in Biratnagar, Morang district, Koshi Province. History
BKVM was founded in 2040 BS (1983/84), the date the school gives on its own Facebook page. It now runs classes from early childhood through higher secondary.
Collegenp notes that a BKVM student scored 93.12% in the 2066 BS School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination and placed first in the country. In 2072 BS (2015) the Ministry of Education named BKVM the best private school in the former Eastern Development Region. According to Edusanjal, regional winners received Rs 100,000. The school says it aims for a broad, balanced and relevant education that combines academics with extra-curricular development.
